Photocards and the Good News

When people crowd around us and want to take pictures of the girls it can be very overwhelming!  But we completely realize that our children provide for us wide open doors for sharing, especially with names that mean peace, hope and light!  So, we decided to make photocards to give to those who want to take a picture of the girls.

We chose a picture of all three of the girls (one of the great photos taken by Michelle Jones) and wrote up a short paragraph in Hindi that tells what their first names are, what their names mean, and a few verses that explain the meanings of their names. Then we printed out several copies and threw them in the diaper bag.  That way when someone comes along and wants to whip out their mobile phone camera, we just slip them the photocard and everyone is happy!

 

शान्ति आशा ज्योति

हमारे बच्चे परमेश्वर के आशीर्वाद हैं । हमलोगों ने उनको ये नाम परमेश्वर के सम्मान को दिखाने के लिए दिया है । हम जानते हैं कि येशु की दिव्य से ज्योति से सच्ची आशा और शान्ति आती आती हैं ।

"ये परमेश्वर की इच्छा थी कि सारा संसार जैसे पृथ्वी या स्वर्ग परमेश्वर उनके अंदर परिपूर्ण हो। और उनके जरिए संसार में परमेश्वर ने येशु जी का खून बहाकर शान्ति की स्थापना की ।" (कुलस्सियों 1: 19 - 20)

"उनके महान दया के कारण येशु जी को मृत्यु से फिर से उठाकर जीवित किया गया ।" (पतरस 1 : 3)

"येशु जी ने कहा, 'मैं संसार की ज्योति हूँ । जो कोई मुझको मानेगा कभी नही अंधकार में भटकेगा बल्कि जीवन की ज्योति पाएगा ।'" (यूहन्ना 8 : 12)
